The concept of Gourmet to Go came about when my father passed away. My elderly mom was not interested in cooking delicious food for herself. She resorted to eating grocery store chicken pot pies, sandwiches and canned soup. Since I was already catering weddings and have a strong passion for delicious food, I felt compelled to find a way to provide her delicious food in small or individual servings that can be served quickly with very minimal effort. I started preparing her gourmet food which is then flash frozen and vacuum sealed. The vacuum sealed bags are then put into a pot of boiling water directly from the freezer. Since the meals are already cooked they will be warm enough to eat within just a few minutes of being put in the boiling water. Vacuum sealing not only keeps the food fresh for a much longer period of time, it also preserves the natural juices and delicious sauces. These dishes can also be thawed in the refrigerator, put into your own dish, warmed gently in the oven and you take the credit. Your secret is safe with me. The ingredients in every dish are fresh and freshly prepared.
